Aston Villa have revealed they will take Strasbourg defender Vaclav Drobny on their four-match pre-season tour of Sweden.
Villa boss David O'Leary is keen to further bolster his back-line options and has agreed a deal with the French club to take the Czech Republic international on a pre-season trial with the Midlands outfit.

The tall centre back has been captain of the Czech Republic Under-21 squad and made his senior international debut last April in a friendly against Japan.

However, Drobny's appearance came too late for him to make Karel Bruckner's Euro 2004 squad for the finals in Portugal.

The 23-year-old started his career with Sparta Prague before moving to Chmel Blsany and, in 2002, he moved to France with Strasbourg.

Last season, Drobny made headlines in France when he tested positive for the banned substance morphine following a match against Rennes the season before.

Aston Villa devrait emmener Vaclav Drobny lors de sa tournée en Suède pour y disputer 4 matches de pré-saison...selon l'article O'Leary, l'entraîneur de Villa, aurait conclu un accord avec le Racing pour procéder de la sorte..

Sachant qu'on l'a acheté 800 000 euros... faut le vendre au moins ça...

Et 800 000 de Drobny + 700 000 non utilisés sur notre budget transfert...

Ca fait 1,5 millions à  investir dans un attaquant, un milieu offensif droit?
